STRUCTURE OF THE ORDER IN THE USA

The Exarchate of the USA is currently composed of five (5) regional Bailiwicks.

The Exarchate is currently incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota and conducts an Annual National Meeting of the Corporation each Fall. Corporation meetings are normally held in conjunction with the Annual Divine Services and Investiture and the Exarchate’s Annual Leadership Meeting.

The formal Induction of new Knights and Dames normally takes place annually in Washington, DC., under the auspices of the Exarch of the USA. Traditionally, investitures in the Exarchate of the United States are conducted at a prestigious venue, accompanied by a Formal Dinner to welcome our new Knights and Dames.

The Order meets as an international whole every two or three years at a suitable European location. In 2005, the Order gathered in Constance, Germany; in 2008, in Kungsalv, Sweden; in 2010, Porvoo, Finland; and in 2013 the international convention was conducted in Salzburg, Austria, and in 2017, the International Convention was held in Lund, Sweden.

The next International  Convention was scheduled to be held in Washington, DC and hosted by the Exarchate of the USA; however, due to the COVID-19 VIRUS PANDEMIC, this was cancelled by the International Order and the Exarchate of the USA.

Accordingly, the International Convention is currently scheduled to take place on 20-22 August 2021. Further information shall be provided as this event is being planned. We are already booked for these dates at the prestigious COSMOS Club in Washington, DC.

Each convocation provides another excellent opportunity for inductions into the Order, for promotions to be made, and for the award of Medals, Crosses of Merit and other decorations presented to well deserved members of the Order.

A HISTORY OF THE ORDER

The modern international Ordo Sancti Constantini Magni, or Order of Saint Constantine the Great, (hereinafter OCM) was established in 1953.

The OCM has grown from a small Christian and cultural society with a modest group of enthusiastic participants to a legal Christian and Ecumenical Order under our fons honorum from the autocephalous orthodox High Patron, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria, of Libya, of Pentapolis, of Ethiopia, and of all Africa. ,

Comprised of about 1000 Knights and Dames, the Order is ecumenical and worldwide in membership. The Exarchate is the national-level organizational unit; one exists in Finland, Greece, Sweden, and the United States of America. Bailiwicks, a level below Exarchate, exist in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, and the Diaspora.

The Master of the Order is His Serene Highness Friedrich, Duke and Prince of Beaufort-Spontin of Austria, who is a practicing radiologist in nuclear medicine.

The Government of the Order is a body of seven appointed and elected members, which is aided by a Council of Archons, a Court of the Order, and a Council of the Order.
